چکیده
Enzymes are the selective proteins with high specificity that catalyze all the metabolic reactions in living organisms. Millions of enzymes are produced by prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms. Use of microbial enzymes as drugs is an important research in the field of pharmaceutical industries. One of the most important discovery in this field is an enzyme L-asparaginase discovered by Clementi in 1922 in serum of guinea pig. Lasparaginase is more promising in the treatments of Hodgkin disease, acute myelocytic leukemia, acute myelomonocytic leukemia, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, lymphosarcoma treatment, reticulosarbom and melanosarcoma (Oettgen, 1967). Administration of guinea pig serum into mice suffered from lymphomas shown regression against cancerous cells was studied by Kidd in 1953. After that, Broome in 1968 conclude the anti-lymphatic activity guinea pig serum was due to L-asparaginase. Partial purification of L-asparaginase from guinea pig sera was carried out by Yellin and International Journal of Current Microbiology and Applied Sciences ISSN: 2319-7706 Volume 6 Number 9 (2017) pp. 784-792 Journal homepage: http://www.ijcmas.com

Isolation and identification of L-asparaginase producing actinomycetes from Persian Gulf
Introduction: L-asparaginase is an anti-neoblastic agent used in the chemotherapy of lymphoblastic leukemia. This enzyme is widely distributed among microorganisms, plants and animals, but microorganisms have proved to be a better alternative for L-asparaginase, thus facilitating its large-scale production. Actinomycetes are filamentous, Gram-positive bacteria widely distributed in the marine e...

L-asparaginase has lots of medical and industrial applications. Ever since L-asparaginase anti-tumor activity was first demonstrated, its production using microbial systems has attracted considerable attention owing to their cost-effective and eco-friendly nature. The aim of this study is to obtain L-asparaginase producing bacteria and determining the enzyme activity. Samples were picked up fro...
متن کاملL-Asparaginase-producing Rouxiella Species Isolation, Antileukemia Activity Evaluation, and Enzyme Production Optimization
Background: L-Asparaginase (L-Asp) is used as an efficient anti-cancer drug, especially for acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Currently, two bacterial asparaginase isoenzymes are used for cancer treatment. Therefore, this research focused on isolating native bacteria with the ability to produce L-Asp. Materials and methods: L-Asp producing bacteria were isolated from soil samples on 9K medi...
متن کاملProduction and characterization of biochemical properties of L-Asparaginase by indigenous yeast isolated from soil of Iran
Introduction: The use of L-asparaginase as a chemotherapeutic agent is an effective strategy for the treatment of leukemic lymphoblasts. Since the use of bacterial L-asparaginase causes side effects due to hypersensitivity reactions, search for new enzyme sources is one of the active research areas. In this study, the characterization of produced L-asparaginase by indigenous yeast strains was i...

The purpose of this study was to isolate and characterize Proline Dehydrogenase (ProDH) enzyme frommicroorganisms isolated from soil in Iran. Isolation and screening of L-proline degradative enzymes from soilsamples was carried out. The isolate was characterized by biochemical markers and 16S rRNA geneanalysis. The target ProDH was purified and the effects of pH and temperatur...
